Q/ Ok, so who are you really?

A/ Hello, I'm Pat! Nice to meet you... I'm a crafty and very busy gal who makes things, paints things and lives happily in a tiny London flat crammed full of strange and unusual stuff. I started making jewellery for myself and friends pretty much from childhood, but what was once a little hobby really took off a couple of years ago when I put some of my work on ebay, just for fun. I found that there was a demand for it and took it from there! I'm a trained fine art printmaker, and although I still love printing and owe a lot to my art training, I prefer making unusual little trinkets that people will love.

Q/I contacted you on your site and you diddn't get back to me - why?

A/ I almost certainly did get back to you or will do so within the next 24 hours. (well unless you are a spammer or some stalker wierdo of course!) At weekends, busy times and holiday periods I may be a little slower. Still worrying that I haven't answered you? Check your spam folder! The problem is that some anti spam programmes are over enthusiastic and will discard real mail as well as junk and I know a few of my emails have been landing in peoples spam folders. So check your spam folder, there is a good chance my reply is lurking in there.

Q/Do you do wholesale/consignment orders?

A/Right now I'm not accepting wholesale orders, but I may be able to do small consignments in the near future. Mail me if you are interested!

Q/Where do you get your jewellery making materials from?

A/ I started out by making jewellery out of odd bits and pieces that I found everywhere, and to some extent I still do. I am a real magpie and always on the look out for anything unusual. But a good place to start looking is on ebay, all the bits and peices you need including the tools can be found quite cheaply there. Also keep your eyes open in toyshops, second hand shops and craft/hobby shops. Look in your local telephone directory and try Google - its amazing whats out there!

Q/ Will you make me a custom piece, and how much will it cost?

A/ I occasionally make custom pieces, its always worth contacting me to see if I have time. The price will depend on things like cost and availability of materials,  how long it will take to make the piece and how difficult it will be to make.

Q/ Where do you learn how to do this stuff?

A/ I've always been a maker, so I'm self taught really. I think most people start off that way - kids can make anything out of anything - but then they stop as they grow older. Well I diddn't grow up and I diddn't stop making things either! There are books and online tutorials out there that teach you how to bead and so on that will give you a sound start, but the best way to learn anything is to set your inner kid free and just have a go!

Q/How do I know you will send me my stuff and not just run away with the money, just to spend it all on sweeties and Rum?

A/Well, I'm not some fly by night outfit - I'm here for the long haul and looking to grow my business. I've been selling on ebay for many years now as liquorice-allosaurs - check out my feedback and current auctions by clicking HERE and you'll see for yourself! I can't honestly promise you I wont spend it on sweeties and Rum though.

Q/Are you on Myspace?

A/Why yes I am; add me HERE for sneak peeks, competitions and lots more fun besides!
