Yep that’s right, Liquorice-Allosaurs is currently celebrating being a year and a month old - we can’t believe time has flown by so fast!So to kick off a week of festivities there is currently a 15% off sale throughout the store, we have new Alice in Wonderland themed goodies coming in every day and soon to come, a review writing competition! All orders made during this event will receive free sweeties and surprises. So it’s a very very happy un-birthday to you!

Late summer escapology

Yep, that is what I am up to. Liquorice-Allosaurs (or the gal who runs this thing - ie me) is going to be unavailable from now till September 10th. You’ll still be able to browse and buy at the online store, but any order made before that date will not be shipped until September 10th at the earliest. It also means that you will have to wait even longer to see the scrumptious pics I took at the Big Chill, but dear reader you must be used to my infrequent postings by now. See you in the Autumn!

The Big Chill

It’s time to dig out the tent, find me some sturdy yet attractive boots and pray it doesn’t rain, cause tomorrow I’m off to The Big Chill! Diddn’t think I was going to make it to any festivals this year so I’m doubly thrilled to be staying up for four consecutive nights in a noisy, possibly waterlogged field. I’m not selling it to you, am I? Ok, how about hundreds of live acts, circus, burlesque, bands, djs, lovely people, the possibility that it will be SUNNY and I can sunbathe, plus it’s in a deer park, dammit! It will be beautiful, gorgeous, fab. There will not be terrifying floods. Whatever the weather, expect to see a report here when I’ve finally recovered.

bikini and a bottle of rum

Just to let you know, I’m going to be drinking rum on a sunny beach from 15th till 26th June (That’s from today, hoorah!) so although you can still browse and buy from the shop, I won’t be able to ship any orders until 27th June at the least. Let’s hope the weather’s good, ’cause beachwear is chilly when it rains!
Plus…when I get back I’m looking forward to stocking a beautiful new range of handpainted necklaces, I won’t say any more about that until the time comes, but let’s just say I just know they’ll be flying out of the shop.

Gratuitously cute animal picture

I can’t leave you over the weekend without a gratuitously cute animal picture, so heeeeeeere it comes…
Yes, he’s mighty fine. (Could be a she though - I diddn’t look too close) S/he wasn’t very impressed upon realising that we had no carrots though. Cooing, ahhing and ooohing humans= carrots and nothing more if you are a donkey; and quite right too! Hopefully I’ll find some more creatures to photograph for my increasing online menagerie this weekend. Stay tuned!

Chocolate chip cookies

I’ve been baking, hurrah! And here’s the result; yummy chocolate chip cookies. Better not try to eat them though - they are hand sculpted from polymer clay and hand painted too.
These are my new improved nibbled choc chip cookie necklaces. They’ve been selling like hot cakes so I hope you’ll like this design as much as the old one. They are very realistic, and best of all you’ll be sweet enough to eat when you wear one!

Cute Animal Thursday

Ok, so the weather in London this week has been variable - varying from dull to lousy to horribly disgusting - but are we downhearted? How can we be, when there are creatures like this in the world?
Is it just me, or are these guys posing like some acheingly hipper than thou indie band who just scored their first record deal? Mabe it’s the subtly co-ordinating outfits, mabe it’s the hair… Mabe it’s time to stop asking questions and simply bask in their magnificence. C’est prosh, as they’d say over on Cute Overload
And no, I’m not entirely sure as to wether they are llamas, alpacas or some other woolly South American beast. What I do know is that we saw them on the same walk as we saw these newborn lambs, and they kept creeping up on us as we crossed their field in a way that can only be described as sinister.
*Edit* They look kind of similar to this unfortunate creature in Ugly Overload, don’t they? Just goes to show that one woman’s cute is another’s abomination…
